At Her Seed Bank, we’re passionate about showcasing cannabis cultivars that stand out for their quality, potency, and unique characteristics. This month, we’re proud to feature Gorilla Glue #4 (GG4), a cultivar that has cemented its place as a favorite among growers and consumers alike. Let’s dive into what makes GG4 a must-have for your garden.
The History Behind Gorilla Glue #4
Gorilla Glue #4 is a hybrid masterpiece created by crossing Chem’s Sister, Sour Dubb, and Chocolate Diesel. The cultivar earned its name from its ultra-sticky resin, reminiscent of the well-known adhesive. First bred by GG Strains, GG4 has won multiple Cannabis Cups, solidifying its reputation as a go-to cultivar for those seeking a potent and rewarding grow.
What Makes Gorilla Glue #4 Unique?
- Resin Production: GG4 is known for its trichome-covered buds that practically drip with sticky resin, making it a top choice for extraction enthusiasts.
- Potency: With THC levels often testing between 25–30%, GG4 offers powerful effects that balance relaxation and euphoria.
- Flavor Profile: Expect an earthy, piney base with hints of coffee and chocolate, creating a complex and satisfying taste.
- Versatility: This hybrid offers a perfect mix of Indica and Sativa effects, making it suitable for both recreational and medical use.
Ideal Growing Conditions for GG4
Gorilla Glue #4 is a forgiving cultivar, perfect for growers at all experience levels. Here’s what you need to know to achieve a thriving harvest:
- Light Requirements: GG4 thrives under consistent indoor lighting or in sunny outdoor conditions.
- Temperature & Humidity: Keep temperatures between 68–80°F with moderate humidity for optimal growth.
- Flowering Time: Expect a flowering period of 8–9 weeks indoors. Outdoor growers can look forward to harvesting in early October.
