North Thunderfuck (Matanuska Thunderfuck BX3)
North Thunderfuck is a potent indica-dominant hybrid known for its strong effects, bold flavor, and resilient growth. Derived from Matanuska Thunderfuck BX3, this strain combines legendary heritage with modern stability, offering a powerful and rewarding experience for both growers and users.
Genetics and Background
North Thunderfuck traces its lineage to Matanuska Thunderfuck BX3, a strain with origins linked to the Alaskan cannabis scene. While its early history remains somewhat unclear, its reputation for potency and performance is well established.
This refined version maintains the core traits of its lineage while offering improved consistency and yield potential.
Flavor and Effects
North Thunderfuck delivers a pronounced flavor profile led by citrus and lemon notes, followed by earthy and pine undertones. The aroma is fresh and sharp, with a lingering depth that enhances the overall experience.
With THC levels reaching up to around 23 percent, the effects build gradually before becoming deeply immersive. Users can expect an initial uplift in mood followed by a strong, relaxing body effect. As the experience develops, a long-lasting sense of euphoria takes hold, making this strain well suited for evening use.
Growth Characteristics
This feminized photoperiod strain is relatively easy to cultivate and adapts well to different environments. It shows good tolerance to cooler climates and moderate resistance to disease, making it a strong option for outdoor growing.
Plants develop a structured, tree-like shape and produce dense, resin-rich buds. Flowering time is approximately 65 days. Indoor growers can expect yields of up to 500 grams per square meter, while outdoor plants produce between 500 and 550 grams per plant, with harvest typically ready by mid-October.
