Mother Gorilla (Reina Madre x Gorilla Glue #4)
Mother Gorilla is a powerful sativa-dominant hybrid that combines high potency with complex flavor and reliable yields. Developed from Reina Madre and Gorilla Glue #4, this strain delivers an energetic and euphoric experience backed by strong, modern genetics.
Genetics and Background
Mother Gorilla is an enhanced evolution of the former Royal Madre line. By crossing Reina Madre with Gorilla Glue #4, breeders created a strain that merges terpene richness with exceptional potency.
Reina Madre contributes a sweet, spicy, and aromatic profile along with uplifting sativa effects, while Gorilla Glue #4 adds intensity, resin production, and a significant boost in THC levels. The result is a well-balanced hybrid with a strong sativa influence and consistent performance.
Flavor and Effects
Mother Gorilla offers a layered flavor profile combining notes of chocolate, earth, and subtle sweetness with hints of spice and diesel. Its terpene composition creates a rich and satisfying taste experience.
With THC levels ranging from approximately 23 to 25 percent, the effects are fast-acting and stimulating. Users can expect a clear-headed, energizing high that promotes creativity, focus, and social interaction. At higher doses, the experience becomes more euphoric and immersive while maintaining a smooth and manageable character.
Growth Characteristics
This feminized photoperiod strain is relatively easy to cultivate and performs well in both indoor and outdoor environments. Plants grow to a medium height, making them suitable for a variety of setups.
Flowering time ranges from 9 to 10 weeks. Indoor growers can expect yields of up to 500 grams per square meter under optimal conditions. Outdoors, plants can produce up to 650 grams per plant and are typically ready for harvest in early October.
Mother Gorilla offers a strong balance between yield, potency, and ease of growth, making it a versatile option for growers.
