Cherry Lime Reserve is a vibrant, terp-packed cultivar passed along from the seasoned hands of Ron Herrington of Gold Hat Seeds, a lifelong breeder rooted in Alberta, Canada. This cross is steeped in both quality genetics and classic cannabis lore.
The story kicks off in 2014, when Ron stopped to help a broken-down breeder from Dutch Passion on the side of the road. In a twist of fate, that act of kindness earned Ron a rare gift—Black Lime Reserve, a cultivar that would go on to take 2nd place at the Emerald Cup that same year. Originally bred by Aficionado Seeds, Black Lime Reserve is known for its loud lime terps, grower-friendly structure, and standout vigor.
To elevate it further, Ron crossed it with a heavy-yielding, old-school Cherry Pie—a cultivar that’s been making waves in Amsterdam for decades. In Ron’s own words, it’s “just the regular Cherry Pie everybody loves,” delivering sweet cherry funk and reliable performance.
The result? Cherry Lime Reserve—a sweet and zesty cultivar with strong lime-cherry terpenes, an easygoing grow profile, and an approximate 9-week flowering time. Whether you’re growing for flavor, yield, or a bit of both, this one checks every box.
One of Ron’s personal favorites, Cherry Lime Reserve made its debut summer of ’23 as part of a grow-along hosted by the Future Cannabis Project—and now it’s available for growers ready to dig into something truly special.
